Updated Due Dates – Taxes 2021

Knowing You – 2021 Puerto Rico Income Tax Return and 2022 Puerto Rico Estimated Income Tax Payments

The Puerto Rico Treasury Department issued Administrative Letter No. 22-03 (AD 22-03) to extend the filing and payment date for income tax returns with an original due date of April 18 to April 25, 2022. The AD 22-03 also applies to the first quarter of the 2022 estimated tax payment postponing the payment from April 18 to April 25, 2022.

2021 LLC Annual Dues and Annual Corporation Report

The Puerto Rico State Department issued Administrative Order 2022-03 to extend the due date to file the LLC Annual Dues and the Annual Corporation Report from April 18 to April 25, 2022. For those taxpayers requesting the extension for the Annual Corporation Report, the first extension must be filed by April 25, 2022 and the second extension by June 27, 2022. The second extension must be requested and paid not later than June 27, 2022, resulting in a final due date of August 29, 2022.

2022-23 Volume of Business Declaration (Municipal License Tax)

The Puerto Rico Office of Management and Budget issued a Circular Letter No. 003-2022 to extend the due date to file the 22-23 Volume of Business Declaration from April 25, 2022 to May 2, 2022. The 5% discount will be available for those taxpayers paying the full amount due on or before May 2. In case of taxpayers requesting the extension of time to file the declaration, the municipalities may grant up to six (6) month extension, up to November 2, 2022.
